It's social action. It's spiritual renewal. It's in the summer. It's Opus! In the spirit of strengthening our young adult community--and having some serious UU fun--join us in Kankakee, Illinois for four days of camping and reconnecting as we celebrate the return of this amazing event! Opus is the annual spiritual retreat of the Continental Unitarian Universalist Young Adult Network. We are an intentional community of seekers exploring liberal religion, social justice and diversity. This year, we will explore and honor our roots--as a religious community, a young adult network and as individuals. We will also find ways to spread our wings and move into the future as a movement of inspired and empowered citizens of the world. Workshops will involve artistic exercises, philosophical discussions, environmental action and spiritual reflection; but to make the most of our time together, we want to hear from you! CUUYAN is providing scholarships. Our rustic venue may create accessibility issues for otherwise-abled persons, but we will work to accommodate all needs as best we can. Tents are welcome, but not required.
